Alex Morrison

Alex came on board in November of 2023 with his wife, Ashleigh. Both of them had recently competed but were looking for a new coach to help them get ready for the upcoming Scottish season in 2024. Competition prep is selfish but these two managed to smash it out the park.

It was clear Alex had a lot of muscle and had an expectation to do well with his recent success in the previous season. I knew that if we brought him in conditioned, no one would get near him in class 3 in the Scottish season and no one did! He grabbed wins at every show we did together and added a couple of 2nds along the way.

Alex made my job easy with his brutal execution of the plan. He asked questions, took feedback on board and always came back better: one of those clients who is a dream to work with. He will be back in 2025 and he’ll be even better, just wait.

Across his season Alex collected:

4 x 1st
2 x 2nd

Here’s what Alex had to say about her journey:

“I started working with Vaughan in November 2023 as we pushed towards the Scottish season. I had a very short off season having competed in October and winning PCA novice in Stafford. Standards were set high from Vaughan very early on and we got to work. He was very quick to respond to and questions or queries I had.

The Scottish season went really well having competed in 3 shows. First off was FMC where I picked up 2 x 1st places, 2 x 2nd and was in contention for overall. The 2nd show was Granite City, probably my best win, with a few good guys on stage and coming out in top really set my confidence high before heading in our last show. That was PCA Scotland where I took the clean sweep and added another 1st.

All in all a great season and couldn’t have asked from anymore from Vaughan as a coach. From the minute I text him his response is rapid, to getting to our hotel prior shows, he is on the ball. You always know what your doing, eating and he keeps stress levels very low.

If your thinking of competing I’d highly recommend Vaughan to take you on your journey.”
