Lucy joined the team at the start of 2023 with the aim of stepping on stage in 2024. She soon adopted the nickname ‘Delts Taylor’ due to how enormous her shoulders grew in the first few months of the coaching process. This stemmed from her relentless pursuit to be better every single day and she fully committed herself to her bodybuilding journey.
On our initial consult call, I could tell she wasn’t sure whether or not she belonged on the stage. Fast forward 17 months, she not only belonged on the stage but she owned it taking multiple wins and placings in every show that she did.
The word ‘potential’ became something that Lucy got used to hearing week in, week out. She’ll be the first to tell you that she got frustrated hearing that initially, but as the season ploughed on and the wins tallied up, she began to look at it in a new light. She can now see what I was trying to tell her: that in this sport, she is destined for greatness.
We’ll take a solid 18 months off and we’ll be back for a British title… you heard it here first.

“I signed up with Vaughan at the beginning of 2023, having followed him on Instagram for a while and seen the track record of results that he had with his clients. On one of our first interactions Vaughan told me I looked like a bikini girl, something that we still joke about to this day as I had my heart set on the figure category from the very beginning and his comment made me even more determined to prove that figure was where I belonged.
Having seen how successful Vaughan's toned figure client Carolyn's off-season had been, I decided to jump on a consultation call with him to see if he could help me with my goals. Vaughan was very attentive and informative from the get-go, answering all of my questions and taking on board any concerns I had. I decided pretty immediately that he was the right coach for me and I haven't looked back since.
I have been completely blown away by the standard of service that Vaughan provides. His response time is second to none, he makes you feel valued and understood and nothing ever feels like too big of an ask. He always takes the time to provide explanations behind decision-making and is very knowledgeable. With Vaughan's support and guidance I have transformed from someone who couldn't imagine themselves having the confidence to actually step on stage, to taking multiple wins in my first season including an overall and a pro card.
Vaughan's level of communication stays consistent throughout the off-season and during prep; and the amount of support provided on show day in particular is unmatched. You won't find many coaches who attend each one of their client's shows but Vaughan goes above and beyond to ensure that the day is as stress-free and enjoyable as possible which is reflected in the team's results.
